High performance healthcare of the future will be delivered through the judicious leveraging of advance technology. Dr. C. Everett Koop, Chairman of the Board of The Koop Foundation Inc., has noted that "we can use high-tech to cut costs by investing dollars wisely in the right kind of medical information technology and information superhighways. This will provide us better, more accessible healthcare at a lower cost for all of us."  Healthcare organizations must evaluate their readiness to use technology.
