NOAH: New York Online
Access to Health

NOAH seeks to provide high-quality full-text health information for consumers that is accurate, timely, relevant and unbiased. NOAH currently supports English and Spanish. Thanks to the library resources of its key partners and other participants, NOAH strives to make its health information available to underserved populations of New York State and elsewhere, wherever library access to health information on the Internet can make a difference. Originally funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and matching grants in October 1994, NOAH's current partners include The City University of New York, The New York Public Library, The Metropolitan New York Library Council, The New York Academy of Medicine, The Queens Borough Public Library, The New York Library, March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, Aetna U.S. Healthcare, NYU Medical Center and Baruch College.

NOAH won the following awards in the Games:

Washington, DC (April 28, 1998):

  • Outstanding Quality Award
  • Tied for 2nd place, Popular Vote Award

Philadelphia, PA (May 27-28, 1998):

  • Improving Access Award
