Digital Med is a general contractor for healthcare related intranets and extranets. We build interactive web-based applications and provide electronic healthcare services.
Digital Med is a pioneer in the field of home-based telemedicine. Its Cyberspace Telemedical Office (CTO) project demonstrates how we are using telecommunication and computer system technologies to provide a new paradigm for healthcare delivery.
Digital Med's products and services are designed to increase access to healthcare, decrease the cost of healthcare and improve its quality. We are marketing products and services (such as the CTO) as customized turnkey solutions for healthcare organizations. Unique features of our products and services include a personalized and customized health information system which is based on a consumer created online electronic medical record.
The initial focus of Digital Med has been the development of WWW-based turnkey systems that can help managed care organizations provide online membership services. These services are directed by a proprietary search agent termed "CyberDoc" that utilizes the individual's demographic and personal medical history to retrieve pertinent articles and healthcare advisories tailored to each individual. We have already constructed the necessary hardware, software, and telecommunications interface to establish the first functional WWW site for this type of information and service. Our website will be further developed to refine telemedical services and provide customized shopping that is driven by the individual's personal medical record. The final phase of development involves the provision of primary telemedical services over the Internet.
