medicare.gov Medicare.gov provides Medicare beneficiaries, their caregivers, and partners, with an official source for Medicare information on the Internet. The site was designed with the senior user in mind. Some of the information found on the site which can help the Medicare beneficiaries and anyone involved involved in helping them with their health care desicions is listed below. "What is Medicare." In this section, visitors can get answers to their questions about Medicare, including eligibility requirements, how to enroll, and how to read a Medicare summary notice. "Medicare Compare." This section allows a person to comparison shop to find the best health plan for their needs. A person can look at the plans in a few different ways. One way is to compare cost of premiums and benefits offered. We also provide a section on the quality of plans, how good a job the plan does in keeping its members healthy or treating them if they are sick. "Nursing Home Compare." This section contains information on every certified Medicare and Medicaid nursing home in the country. It allows a person to review summary information about survey results that describe any problems found in the nursing home. The lastest edition to the site is a fraud and abuse campaign "Who Pays, You Pay," which describes HCFA's goal of making the beneficiary a fraud fighter. The goal of the training session is to make each person feel empowered, to review Medicare statements and use the 1-2-3 approach to report any questionable charges or services. The Technology Games will begin
